Supporting Parents: Showing Up Without Losing Yourself
Children can be our greatest teachers, and also the ones who push our buttons the most. And when those buttons get pushed, it can feel so hard to show up in the way we really want — with calm, presence, love, and care. Every parent wants the best for their child, and if you’re reading this, you certainly do too.
But here’s the truth: children don’t come with a handbook. And no one gives us a guide for navigating the emotional ups and downs of parenting.
I come from both sides of this world: I’ve worked with children for over 15 years, supported my sisters raising their children, and worked with adults to understand themselves and grow through their own challenges. I bring all of this together to support you as a parent — helping you understand yourself, regulate in tricky moments, respond rather than react, and remember: it’s okay to mess up. What matters most is repair.
We work to understand you — why certain moments trigger reactions — and your child — what their behaviour might be telling you through their brain, body, and development. This helps you combine your natural, intuitive knowledge of your child with tools to respond in ways that feel grounded, calm, and connected.
The goal is simple: for you to show up as the parent you want to be, giving your child what they need while protecting your own energy. Sessions are gentle, guided by what’s happening for your family right now, so you can move forward with more peace, clarity, and confidence.
