Remember Humpty Dumpty, a childhood friend to most who fell off a wall and despite all the king's horses and men trying to put Humpty together? Humpty was never again his whole self.
A lot of us have moments in our early life where we receive messages about how to behave and how not to behave all in the name of being accepted and loved. Each of these messages has the potential to lead us to deny parts of ourselves, whether this be traits or even emotions. We disconnect from our bodies and ourselves.
We like Humpty move through life not feeling like our whole selves, though unlike Humpty, we are always whole, we've just lost sight of parts of us along the way. This may lead to a feeling of disconnection or emotional or physical pain or all of the above.
We may search for answers outside of ourselves in hopes someone else can heal us, just like Humpty did. In the end, though, we can feel whole when we reconnect with ourselves and those parts we've denied and that's what Integrated Art Therapy can support you to do.
Join me in a safe space that allows you to:
Reclaim lost or denied parts of yourself so that you can live the fullest expression of yourself.
Make choices and take actions that truly feel right for you.
Connect with the wisdom of your body & regain energy in life.
Reconnect with your own guidance & inner wisdom so that it may guide you in life.
What is Integrated Art Therapy?
Integrated Art Therapy combines three powerful modalities - Art Therapy, Parts work and Embodied Processing
You don’t need to be an artist or “good” at art to experience the power of Integrated Art Therapy. This gentle yet transformative approach helps you reconnect with yourself in a deeper, more intuitive way—beyond the constant chatter of the conscious mind.
From the very start, we’ve each shaped our world through our own lens, collecting stories and meanings. Over time, we learn what parts of us are "acceptable," leaving behind the pieces that don’t fit into the mold. These hidden parts create varying inner voices, some louder, some quieter, all with their own beliefs, concerns, and opinions. You might notice them when you're torn between decisions or feeling stuck.
Integrated Art Therapy offers a space to explore these parts—whether they stem from childhood, adolescence, or adulthood—through art, movement, sound, and intentional dialogue. It’s like dipping into a well of insight, drawing out wisdom that often lies beneath the surface. By expressing these parts, you can gain fresh perspectives, unlock solutions, and find deeper meaning that feels aligned with your true self.
Parts work, a key element in Integrated Art Therapy, allows us to gently connect with those fragmented pieces of yourself. We listen to why they developed, understand what they need, and lovingly invite them back into your being, so you can live as your full, authentic self.
Our bodies, too, are always speaking to us through sensations like tension, tightness, or discomfort. Integrated Art Therapy gives you the chance to listen to your body’s wisdom, tapping into its natural ability to heal and realign. By connecting to the language of symbols and sensations within, you anchor yourself in resilience, hope, and the inner resources you need to live in harmony with your whole self.
When all else falls away, Integrated Art Therapy supports you in just being with yourself for a moment.
Your session provides an opportunity to be held in a space just for you, to explore what is present and what is arising to be explored.
During your session, I can meet you exactly where you are at and offer guidance and processes to allow you to explore what is current for you, work through difficulties past and present, and simply connect with yourself, beyond the thinking mind.
You are held gently and securely in whatever is arising for you. No topic is off limits, no emotion is unwelcome.

Integrated Art Therapy sessions are for you if:
You feel disconnected from yourself and your body – You know there’s more to you, but you’re struggling to hear your inner voice and feel at home in your own skin.

You’re working on self-growth but feel stuck – You’ve been trying, but you still feel like you’re spinning your wheels, not sure how to break through and reclaim the parts of yourself that feel lost.
You want to feel more connected and aligned – Deep down, you’re ready to embrace your needs, trust yourself, and move through life with more ease, joy, and self-compassion.

What my clients say
'Before I met Kim I had no clue what art therapy was. I'm not 'arty' so was quite nervous about the whole thing. I quickly realised that art therapy has got nothing to do with making anything pretty, or even recognisable. For me it's the quickest way to bypass my analysis paralysis and access my subconscious or intuition - that place where the pearls of inner wisdom lie. Kim safely and intuitively guides me to exactly where I need to go to uncover exactly what I need to know at that time. The space Kim creates is gentle, loving and unconditionally accepting of all that needs to be expressed. If you have tried talking traditional therapy and are sick of hearing yourself going round and round in mental circles, art therapy with Kim might be just what you need to break that cycle, reboot, and access the different parts of you that perhaps hold the keys to your healing'
'I have worked with Kim over an extended period, participating in workshops and individual sessions. Kim's ability to see into the issues I bring to our sessions, and to bring insight and clarity to my thinking is phenomenal. She does it all with a refreshing kindness and honesty. She is obviously deeply committed to bringing healing to the life of her clients. Thank you Kim.'
What does a session look like?
During a session I am guided by you and what is unfolding in the moment. What is present for you, what is worrying you, and what you would like to explore. There is no set framework for a session so that it can move and shift to meet your unique needs. For this reason, every session looks different. To give you a rough idea though a session may play out as follows:
As I welcome you into the space, we begin by taking a few breaths to ground and arrive in the space.
We'll then open the space for you to share what you would like to explore, what brought you to the session, and what is present for you. (note - it is not necessary to come up with a set idea of what you'd like to explore).
During a session, there often comes a moment where we have explored through talking and reached a pause where it can be helpful to move into an art expression or similar. This is an opportunity to tap into what is beyond the conscious, everyday mind and see what arises in relation to what we have been exploring. Often a new perspective can be gained this way or simply moving some energy. The expression often begins with a short meditation that is created based on the content of the discussion. There is then an opportunity to draw whatever comes. (note - I will guide you in this. What the product is at the end isn't the important part. The fact that it came from you is.
As you finish there is space to talk about your expression and experience and I might ask you some questions to more deeply explore your expression. (Note - Your expression is yours. You may find meaning in it or may not, either is perfectly ok. I won't suggest meaning as this is personal to you. After all yellow means something different to everyone right?)
As we near the end of the session I'll recap your journey and any discoveries that might have been made.
We'll close with a few breaths if this feels right.
If we're a great fit, in the following sessions, I will recap what happened in the last session and from there you are free to talk about that or bring up something different. Remember this is YOUR session. You're in the driver's seat and I'm there to hold the space as you drive your bus. In other words, you are always completely free to choose what you would like in the session and I will support that.
Preparing materials for an online session.
During an online session for Art Therapy, a few materials will be needed. Don't worry though, these are not extensive and if all you have is pen and paper it's ok. It's definitely enough. You will gain results through the process, it doesn't matter how colourful the product is! You will be given guidance on gathering a few simple materials after booking.
FAQ
How do I access sessions?
Sessions are accessed via a secure telehealth platform 'My appointments' online from your phone, tablet or computer.
What's it like to have an online session?
If you're feeling unsure about working online, I totally understand. I did too. I have found however through my experience as both a client and therapist, that a great level of comfort can be experienced through being able to choose your own environment for your session. A huge bonus is the saving of travel time and the ability for us to connect no matter where you live.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different and each situation varies. Three sessions is a good starting point to feel what it's like to work through something that is present is for you in this way. There are also six and ten-session packages for if and when you feel ready to commit to deeper integration. You also have the benefit of the first session being free and this might be enough support for you to move forward with.
Why do you offer session packages instead of single sessions?
I used to believe single sessions were best, however through my experience both as a client and therapist, I have found that creating a container in the form of session packages, allows us both to relax into the process and ultimately achieve greater benefit, because you are able to deepen into the process, knowing that it can span over many sessions. I do however offer the session free of charge, so there's the opportunity to feel whether this is a good fit before committing.
Why do you offer the first session free?
I could use all the language in the world to try to describe what it's like to experience an Integrated Art Therapy session and it wouldn't come close to actually experiencing it. For this reason, I offer the first session, with no obligation to book afterwards. I believe this is the best way for both of us truly to feel whether it's a good fit.
How much are session packages?
You will find all prices on the pricing and bookings page
Are you sure I don't have to be good at Art?
You absolutely do not need to be any version of 'good' at art. If you can make marks on a page, you can do Integrated Art Therapy. Your art expression is your own. You don't even have to share it if you don't feel comfortable.
I have another question, how do I contact you?
Any questions are welcome. You can contact me multiple ways from here
I'm ready, how do I book?
You can book via the link here
Why do I offer Integrated Art Therapy?
I choose to offer Integrated Art therapy because it has provided me with a space to hold myself and everything that's swirling around in my body and mind. At times when I wasn't sure what else to do, putting pastels to paper brought peace and meaning to that moment. I found that paper could hold all the thoughts feelings and sensations that I felt had no other place to go.
I also found that images arose from within me that provided insight, I could not access by thinking about a situation. I cannot count the number of times that I or a client have witnessed expression onto a page and had a deep and powerful realisation that has guided their way forward.
Connecting with parts of myself has allowed me to feel so much more compassion and self-acceptance. I have been able to move through difficulties and shift patterns by understanding the role of the different parts of myself and reconnecting with the ones I'd denied. I now live a more integrated, full version of myself.
Now, I combine art therapy, parts work, and embodied processing not just for my own healing, but for those I work with. It’s nothing short of magic when these modalities come together. We explore the body and what it has to share, the expressions that arise through art, and the parts within us that long to be seen. This beautiful interplay creates a powerful healing opportunity, that helps us all live more authentically.
Each of the processes I offer, I have done. I have walked where you will walk. I have stumbled as well and found relief in hearing my own wisdom that was buried beneath the racing thoughts.
Accessing any kind of therapy can be a little scary, I encourage you, if you have any questions, to reach out.
All of YOU is welcome.
